In 2022, BOE’s share of global large-size LCDs is expected to reach 28.9%. At the 4th Digital China Construction Achievement Exhibition, Lu Kuan, BOE's senior vice president and CEO of Smart System Innovation, introduced that Sigmaintell predicts that BOE's global large-size LCD share will reach 28.9% by 2022.
According to Lu Kuan, in 2020, BOE's R&D investment will reach 9.442 billion yuan. According to data from Omdia, a global market research organization, in 2020, BOE will rank first in the world in terms of overall shipments and display shipments in five market segments including smartphones, tablets, laptops, monitors, and TVs.
Lu Kuan said that in the next stage, IoT applications will be the focus of BOE's research and development.
At the exhibition site, the BOE Smart Park solution based on a self-developed digital platform showcased scenarios such as park management, smart security, smart traffic, smart environment, and smart office. The program has been implemented in 6 major parks including Taoxichuan, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, and Tianjin First Lightyear City Demonstration Zone.
At present, the company has launched Internet of things solutions for smart car, smart retail, smart finance, industrial Internet, smart park, digital art and other application scenarios.
