ST Hua Ying intends to raise 2.8 billion for LCD device production lines and OLED test lines
With the rapid development and popularization of electronic display products dominated by touch screen technology, such as smartphones and tablets, Small and medium-sized flat display device market presents a strong demand situation. Against this background, :: ST Huaying subsidiary Hua Jiacai invested 12 billion yuan in Hanjiang District, Putian City to build the sixth generation thin film transistor liquid crystal display device (TFT-LCD) production line and OLED experimental line project, mainly produce small and medium size display panel based on TFT-LCD. As of June 2018, Hua Jia Cai has achieved a monthly design capacity of 30,000 LCD boards.
Metal oxide thin film transistor liquid crystal display device (IGZOTFT-LCD) production line expansion and OLED experimental line production project plan investment of 2.031 billion yuan, to use raised funds of 2 billion yuan. The project will expand the company's LCD panel capacity from the original 30,000 panels / month to 40,000 panels / month, and transform the OLED experimental line into a production line to expand OLED capacity.
ST Huaying said that in recent years, panel manufacturers have been scrambling to lay out OLED capacity, but the company's layout of OLED products is relatively weak, currently has only one experimental line, has not yet formed mass production. In order to accumulate the production experience of OLED products as soon as possible, realize the product layout of the company in the OLED market, and improve the utilization rate and profitability of the existing production equipment, The company intends to use the non-public raised funds to upgrade the OLED experimental line.
It is worth noting that electronic information, as one of the three pillar industries in Fujian Province, has been strongly supported by local governments. On January 25,2018, the General Office of the Fujian Provincial People's Government issued Opinions on Accelerating the Innovation and Development of the Industrial Digital Economy in the Province (Minzheng Office (2018) No .9), calling for consolidating the industrial base of the industrial digital economy, focusing on strengthening the electronic and information manufacturing industry, strengthening the electronic and information manufacturing industry with emphasis on strengthening and improving the electronic and information manufacturing industry, focusing on speeding up the agglomeration of the integrated circuit industry, constructing a new display industry chain, speeding up the upgrading of the computer and information and communication industries, strengthening the semiconductor lighting industry, and building a hundred billion industrial clusters of lithium batteries.
