What is a TFT LCD?
A TFT LCD, or Thin-Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display, is a type of flat-panel display commonly used in electronic devices such as computer monitors, television screens, mobile phones, and other handheld devices. It employs thin-film transistor technology to improve image quality and provide better contrast and response times compared to older LCD technologies.
The "liquid crystal" part of the name refers to the material used in the display, which is a special type of organic compound that can change its optical properties in response to an electric current. When voltage is applied to specific pixels, the liquid crystal molecules align in such a way that either block or allow light to pass through, creating the desired image.
